For a while, the Eden Prairie High school boys basketball team had Cooper, the No. 3 ranked team in the state, just where it wanted it.
Problem is; the Eagles couldn’t hit what they were aiming at.
Saturday, during the Timberwolves/Gatorade Shootout, Eden Prairie fell to Cooper by a score of 57-50.
The stat of the game was Eden Prairie’s field goal percentage, a paltry 29 percent. “We had uncontested shots,” said Eden Prairie Head coach David Flom; “we just couldn’t hit them.”

Tuesday, Eden Prairie tried to that against Henry Sibley in the Olive Garden Holiday Tournament (Bethel tournament) championship game.

The Jordan boys basketball team won its own tournament on Tuesday, Dec. 30 by defeating Byron 71-51.
"Defensively, it was our best performance of the year," head coach Greg Dietel said. "We made them work for everything. To hold a team that scores around 70 every game to 50 points is pretty good."
Senior T.J. Oakes led all scores with 26 points.
"We had success inside," Dietel said.
Dietel pointed to Colin Lammers as be a key contributor to the win.
"Today, he did really nice job for us," he said. "He gave us some really good minutes in both the first and second halves."
