A month ago, the Eden Prairie High School girls cross-country team won a state championship.
A week later, the team would morph into the Eden Prairie XC Club team and win a regional title.
Saturday, Eden Prairie’s club team finished in a two-way tie for 10th place at the Nike Cross Nationals (Portland, Ore.).
Impressive?
“Heck yeah,” said Club Coach Adam Lindahl, “Being from Minnesota, we’re used to focusing on conferences and the chance to run at state.
Saturday, the Eden Prairie XC Club tied for 10th place at the Nike National XC Meet (Portland, Ore.).
Team members include members of Eden Prairie High School’s state championship girls cross-country team (Cassy Opitz, Laura Lawton, Megan Platner, Allie Rudin, Hanna Hoch, Dana Jeter, and Alex Birkle).

Two weeks ago, the Eden Prairie High School girls swim and dive team put an exclamation point to the Eden Prairie High School falls sports season by placing third at the state meet.
From a team standpoint, the fall sports season was a resounding success. Including the state champion Eden Prairie High School girls cross-country team, four Eden Prairie teams advanced to state tournaments. Two teams, boys cross-country and girls soccer, finished second. The swim team finished third and the football team was one play away from advancing to the state semifinals.

Chanhassen High School Athletic Director Dick Ungar announced that Anita Woodrow will coach the girls cross country team when the school opens its doors next fall.
Woodrow, a sixth-grade science teacher at Chaska Middle School East, has been an integral part of Chaska’s cross country and track programs for three years.
Prior to joining the teaching profession, Woodrow was a scholar-athlete at the University of Minnesota from 1999-2004 and was named Academic All-Big Ten three times (1999, 2000, and 2001).
Running as a club team (Eden Prairie XC Club), members of the state champion Eden Prairie High School girls cross-country team added a Nike Cross Nationals Heartland Regional Championship to their long list of accomplishments.
By winning the Nike race on Saturday in Sioux Falls, S.D., Eden Prairie advances to the Dec. 6 Nike Cross Nationals (Portland, Ore.).
