“Be prepared” may be the mantra of the Boy Scouts of America, but it’s just as applicable to those learning Krav Maga.

Krav Maga is a self-defense system developed for and used by the Israeli Defense Forces. Chaska is home to one of the few Krav Maga classes being taught in the Twin Cities.

Paula Meyers has taught the class for the last two years after falling in love with Krav (as it is affectionately called) a few years back.

“I got hooked,” she said. “The difference was in the effectiveness for me.”
